Charity: Breast Cancer Care
They combine the personal experiences of people affected by breast cancer with clinical expertise, using this in a unique way to:
provide information and offer emotional and practical support
bring people affected by breast cancer together
campaign for improvement in standards of support and care
promote the importance of early detection.
What: There are a range of roles including registering in participants in the morning, supporting them along the walk and handing out medals when they finish.
Skills needed: Common Sense
Skills Gained: Social and cultural understanding, communication, initiative, problem solving, team working, flexibility
